2. Nature and Scope of the Website

This website presents the children’s book “Dolly the Little Sheep”. It is a static website and provides no user accounts, forms, comment functions or newsletter. The website does not use cookies, tracking or analytics services. It does not load external fonts, maps, social-media plugins or externally embedded media.

3. Hosting and Server Log Files

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When the website is accessed, the server processes technical information transmitted by the browser. This may include the IP address, date and time of access, requested file, transferred data volume, access status, browser type, operating system and referrer URL.

Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in providing the website securely, reliably and without technical errors. Data is retained only for as long as necessary for secure operation and the investigation of technical or security-related incidents. A data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR is in place with STRATO.

4. Locally Hosted Images, Video and Audio Files

All illustrations, contact images, the book trailer and MP3 audio files are loaded directly from this website. Accessing these files does not establish additional connections to external image, video or audio services. The server processes only the technically necessary access data described under “Hosting and Server Log Files”.

Audio and video do not start automatically. Playback begins only after an active action by the visitor.

5. Browser Text-to-Speech as a Fallback

If a local MP3 file cannot be played, pressing a Listen button may use the text-to-speech function provided by the browser or operating system. Whether and how that function processes data depends on the browser, operating system and selected voice. The website operator has no control over this processing. The website itself does not integrate an external speech service and never starts text-to-speech automatically.

6. External Links to Amazon

The purchase buttons are ordinary external links to Amazon product pages. Merely visiting this website does not establish a connection to Amazon. A connection is made only after the visitor actively clicks a purchase button, at which point the relevant Amazon page opens in a new tab. The operator of the Amazon service is responsible for any data processing there.

If you contact us using the contact details shown in the legal notice, the information you provide will be processed solely to deal with your enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR or Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns the initiation or performance of a contract. The data will be deleted once it is no longer required for handling the enquiry, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

8. No Local Storage of User Data

The website does not store settings or other user data in the browser and does not create user profiles.
